As many of you know, my family and I were in the process of selling our house and trying to find another one suitable to our needs! Between all of the showings and researching of new houses it became so hectic to keep up with the blog at the same time… I am so sorry I have been MIA. BUT I am happy to say we are finally settled in our new home and there is just a few more things to unpack! We went from a 1301 sq ft house to a 2440 sq ft house, so it was a huge change and such a blessing from God! We are so happy to have our lives feeling normal again! It is me, my husband, our 3 kids, our lab, and our recent kitten we rescued at a burger king! I am so excited to be back into the blogging world! I have definitely missed it! I am excited to start sharing deals again and blogging about fun and exciting things!!
Below is a picture of our new home! It definitely has the space we have been looking for!! Hopefully everyone has been doing great!
Couponin’ On Coffee and family are back and Finally settled in our new home!
Low-Calorie Diet >>Day 2
Day 2 of my low- calorie diet was VERY busy. My mother-n-law called and offered to watch my kids for the day, SO I definitely did not want to waste the day sitting at home. She came and picked up my youngest 2 and my oldest daughter and I hit the town. We shopped ALL day long!
It was a blast! So much of a blast that I forgot to eat breakfast
Oops! BIG NO NO! I did drink my coffee though! ;0) Our favorite fast food is Chik-fil-a, so I was not sure how I was going to be able to get something healthy at my favorite place! I asked for a nutritional guide and started browsing. The Chik-fil-A grilled sandwich was only 290 calories! That worked for me because it is still really tasty! I wanted to see how many calories were in my favorite sauce (the polynesian kind) so I turned the guide over and found the section that was labeled sauces. Are you ready for this???? It was 110 calories FOR ONE PACKET! Do you know how disgusted I was with myself after I read that? Before yesterday, I would literally pour that sauce on everything I ordered!
Gross right? I feel like a pregnant woman when Chik-fil-a’s Polynesian sauce is mentioned. I crave it! You will be happy to know that I DID NOT ask for any. I did however, ask for a honey roasted BBQ packet that was only 60 calories! I know that is still a lot, but that is another weakness! Day 2 was not hard at all because I stayed busy all day! When I got home I found my package of workout clothes that UPS had delivered! I just downloaded the Couch to 5k app and plan on starting that soon!

Kids can be SO creative
I just wanted to share with you all how creative my daughter was the other day. She always does things that make me wonder how a 4 yr old can figure that out and here was one of them! I walked in her room to put some clothes up and this is what I found! I am surprised her brother did not knock it down to be mean. LOL Anyways, just thought I would share! My favorite time to watch my kids is when they know that I am not looking
If they know I am watching them they will just be silly! It is when I really see what they are capable of, when they don’t know I am glaring up at them out of the corner of my eyes! Don’t let these little things go unnoticed! I often do and realize it later on
If you have pictures of things your kids have been creative about, PLEASE share them! I would love to post things like this! Email me at couponinoncoffee@gmail.com

My 45 minute Check out 6/7
Okay, I went to 3 different stores last night! Everything went smoothly until I got to Albertson’s! I had my basket filled in 25 minutes;) I just knew it was too good to be true. I wheel my buggy to the front. I am looking for a checkout lane open and I do not see ONE worker…I finally see an employee wiping down her station. She points to the direction of Lane 1 and says, “She will help you down there!”… I am looking, wondering if I saw her point in the right direction because SURELY, she was not talking about the self check out lane where there was ONE employee helping the 15 customers that were in line for these SELF checkout stations! Sure enough, that is EXACTLY what she was talking about! I walk to the lines in disbelief! My little sister, who was so humiliated that I had this huge binder in my buggy, was hiding the huge wad of coupons behind her back! lol. Well, here goes! I start scanning my items. Picture the fact that I have a buggy FULL and this little bitty workspace… Obviously I had to start removing bags from the little bagging spot and put them in my buggy to make room… Every time I would remove a bag, the machine would say REALLY loud, “Items removed from bagging area.” OMG, it makes me look like I am stealing! The ONE lady that was helping all four lanes, has to come turn a key every time that would happen, which was about 9 times!! Next there were items that were not ringing up. She had to come and punch something in manually for those 2 items. I continue! FINALLY, I was done ringing the items! Heeeeere come the coupons! First one I scan was a store coupon… it asks for authorization.. The employee walks over and tell me that it was probably picking up another coupon, so she starts ripping the coupons out of the ad.. I had THREE store coupons. She rips the bar-code on ALL three!! lol. So she has to go back to her desk, manually subtract the difference from each item, after she looks up the prices, then key in the difference! At this point I am getting a little frustrated. I think if I would have had my kids with my I would have pulled my hair out. I would have even been happy with her canceling EVERYTHING and moving to a real check-out lane and starting over! … NEXT, I scan my $5.00/$25.00 purchase coupon from the email club! For some reason, it CHARGES me a dollar and under the description it says Phone Card??? They have to call the manager for this one! She has to take it back to her desk, void the $1 charge, then subtract the $5! NEXT… I have my set of MFG coupons… Scan #1, went through… PRAISE GOD! Scan #2… BEEEEEEEP, AUTHORIZATION NEEDED!! Go figure!! Manager comes back and has to press a button after all of my coupons are scanned! Okay, whew coupons scanned! I can handle the rest… All I have to is pay… WRONG… There is the Corona that my husband requested on the bottom of the buggy! I have to wait there for the manager again, so she can check my id! I bet if I had my three kids with me, she wouldn’t have asked! lol. Okay, done! Let’s pay! OH NO!! I have 3 gift cards !! “Please God, let these gift cards scan!!!” You guessed it, Of course they didn’t scan!!! The manager comes back and does not know why they are not scanning. After scanning one about 15 times, it goes through… Minus $10 dollars. Next one would not scan at all.. She goes and manually takes off an amount and comes back… Next one takes about 20 times and then it scanned! WHEW!!! Finally all I have to do is scan my debit card and I am out of here! HAHA!!! Normally I look my receipt up and down before I leave the store, but I needed to leave before I was bald! The manager stops me and says, “Hey the card that I took $10 off only had $3 something left on it”… I told her I knew that. Apparently she did not manually push it through for the amount that was left on it, she automatically took off the $10 that was written on the card off the purchase!?? lol So it basically made it look like I was trying to rip the store off, which I promise I wasn’t! lol. I, then, had to wait on her to figure out how to charge me the difference! …….. I have NEVER wanted to leave a store so bad in my entire life!! I have had better experiences bringing all three of my kids to a store!!! I know what ya’ll are thinking, why the heck did this chick just write all of this!? Because I needed to vent and this is a place to share good and BAD, HORRIBLE, TRAUMATIC stories about couponing
Now, PLEASE, Share one with me to make me feel better!!

*Here’s A Funny*
I have had an interesting string of clumsy events the past couple of days! Not that I should be surprised, but just thought I would share and make you have a good laugh!
For those of you that use coupons, I am sure that since you have starting couponing, you HATE to waste things! I don’t know about you, but since I started a long time ago, there was no doing this halfway. It was all or nothing! If I get home after buying something that I HAD to have and find a coupon for it later, it eats at me for a week! I HATE that! Anyways, yesterday I was fixing this little squirt( shown below) a bottle. I was trying to put the formula back in the pantry and it fell. OF COURSE it had to come open and about $5 bucks worth of formula spilled on the floor
If this would have been chips, cookies, bread or lunch for my other two kids, I would have simply blew it off, looked for dirt, and put it on the plate lol… But I guess there was no salvaging this spilled formula! SO there went my $5 dollar coupon I used to buy this formula!
Today, while making my coffee, I went to close the cabinet door very quietly because my kids were still asleep (this was MY quiet time) and my wedding ring got caught on the cabinet door somehow and slams into my face! OUCH!! About an hour later I go to wake up my oldest two so we could go to our playdate at the movies! I noticed my son did not look so well! Just like I thought, he yells, “I GOTTA THROW UP.” I rush him to the bathroom and poor baby starting puking! He kept wanting to hug me while he is gagging!! Well, you can imagine what happened after that!
Last but not least, I was finally getting ready to settle down and fix my lunch! I fixed my PB&J (with my peanut butter I got for .88cent
) I started to pick up the chips and cheese dip to go with my sandwich! I DROP the bowl of dip and it spews all over my kitchen wall!! So I am just wondering what else is going to happen today! I think I need to sit here and not move for the rest of the day
Hopefully this brought a smile to your face today!!!
Something else to make you smile!! This is her new thing… She loves to bite the spoon with every bite she takes!! You literally have to pry it out of her little mouth sometimes! lol

Test Post
I am trying to figure out a way for everyone to share their stories. Until I figure that out, maybe we can just comment back and forth on this test post! Hopefully I get smart soon! I am going to post one of my stories I wrote last week to try it out!! This was for May 15th!!
Okay, I am finally settled in after a couple hours shopping. It was not a very fun trip! Rite Aid was the first stop, that was fine… then it was time for Wal-green’s. They were out of newspapers, so I could not get a couple of the deals I had planned on. Then the manager had to be called because a couple of the coupons were not ringing up. I finally get ready to leave and I realize my house key had fell off the chain somewhere in the store! Nowhere to be found:( Left to go to CVS, the Speed Stick deodorant did not print my ECB, had to do a return.. Not to mention I was behind a lady that rang up $161 worth of items and only had $90 dollars in her wallet! Do you think she was nice enough to say, “Hey, why don’t you go ahead of me since you have ONE item!” Of course not! Finally, the manager comes to check me out. (They also did not have anymore papers) My last and final stop was Rouse’s. All I wanted was a couple packs of chicken that was $1.47lb! You guessed it!! They were OUT! Oh, and they were OUT of papers…. I finally find a couple papers at the second gas station I drove to. I start looking through them and realize, there are NO coupons! Ugh, so I leave there and drive to Albertson’s, where I FINALLY buy my two papers after waiting in line for 10 minutes for someone to come and manually put the price of the papers in the self check-out lane! I am just glad to be home!! Hopefully ya’ll had a little better luck than I did!
